“One Soul”, Sofias’s debut album, is a step forward on her musical path. Accompanied by some of the finest Portuguese jazz musicians, Sofia sings her poems, her music, on what is a loving tribute to the experiences that marked her latest years, including the encounters with vocal teachers Laura Fedele and Maria João, and with “Acharya” Roop Verma, Ravi Shankar’s disciple, with whom she started to learn Indian classical music and to play the sitar, that she plays on the title track of the album. “One soul” is an intimate look into Sofia’s soul, but, more than that, is a mirror in which all music lovers souls can be reflected.
